Hi Friends and Family,
I am very new to blogging, so please be patient! Trying to figure out how to work this site! I actually opened this blog back in January 2009 with the intent of keeping in better contact with all of our friends and family. I registered for the blog and started to decorate and here it has sat!
The name 5th element actually comes from Joe. As most of you are aware, the element Boron is the 5th element on the periodical table and Joe loved telling people that. We unofficially named our ski boat "The 5th Element", but haven't put it on the boat yet! All in due time.
The 4 stood for the four of us Joe, Brooke, Ashley and myself. I've kept the 4 there because Joe is still very much with us in spirit and we don't ever want to lose that!
Many friends and family suggested I start the blog to keep everyone posted on the happenings in our life and how we are adjusting to our new "normal". I thought it was a great idea since we have friends and family all over the United States and it is just so difficult to talk to people on a regular basis by phone. So...here goes. I'm starting the blog!
